The car was assembled from a CKD (Complete Knock Down) kit of parts sent to the Malines factory in Belgium on 26th February 1971. It originally had engine number CP52947HE, and was fuel injected. The original head was numbered 516816. After assembly it was sent to West Germany.

The "Body in White" number (on a plate on the RH wheel arch) is 50849.

The body colour appears to be "Sapphire Blue", but it may be "Royal Blue".

About 3600 Triumph TR6 cars were assembled in Malines. The engine currently fitted is from a 1969 US Spec. TR6. This engine has head number 516323.

On the Commission number, the "1" prefix indicates the Belgian build, "CP" indicates Petrol Injection, the "L" suffix indicates left hand drive, and all Belgian cars had the "P" suffix.

The engine has been completely rebuilt, as has the transmission. The clutch and its slave cylinder are all new. The carburetors are rebuilt. The suspension has been upgraded to a coil over Koni system front and back. The car was used at Moss Motors during development of their supercharging unit for the TR6.

The wheels are original steel, size 5.5J x 15 x 6. The front sway bar has a diameter of 2.3 cm.
